    Researcher developing nanocellulose foams for coating applications. Researcher in an international project for the development of manufacturing methods and materials for paper-based packaging solutions in collaboration with City University of Hong Kong and a company based in Hong Kong. Research conducted on-site in Hong Kong (research visits) and University of Vienna.  Developed green composites from raw bio-based materials with high strength and convenient barrier properties for packaging applications.  Upscaled the process to provide commercial viability.  Supervised and coordinated research partners within the project to successfully work towards common goals. Researcher in an international project upscaling natural fibre composite production for the automotive industry. Research stay in South Africa.

    Manufactured and characterised hierarchical natural-fibre composites and nonwovens for my doctoral degree. Taught laboratory courses in physical chemistry in German. Several research visits at EMPA (Swiss Federal Laboratories for Materials Science and Technology) in the Laboratory for Applied Wood Materials (Switzerland) and at Imperial College London, at the Polymer and Engineering Composite group (UK).
