Are you an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk that is looking for a short-term temporary position? Accountemps is currently trying to fill this position with a candidate that wants to become a crucial part in a team environment. As the Accounts Payable Clerk, you will match, batch and code invoices, resolve A/P issues, process expense reports, update and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L, and process checks. As the role progresses , more responsibilities will be assigned to the Accounts Payable Clerk. This Accounts Payable Clerk opportunity will be located in the Troy, Michigan area and will be a short-term temporary position.

Your responsibilities


- Handle the administrative needs of the AP/Finance Department


- Validate, record and send checks, including expediting special handling


- Carry out additional projects as required


- Organize, register, scan, and file invoices, checks, and other documents


- Open, organize, and distribute department mail daily


- Assist with internal and external audits as needed


- Provide support to internal business partners


- Manage full-cycle A/P

Requirements


- Deep understanding of QuickBooks


- Accounts Payable (AP) experience


- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel


- Observant, accurate and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment


- AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred


- Demonstrated communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, especially with both technical and financial backgrounds


- 2+ years of experience in an A/P role preferred
