Role: Analyst, Correspondent Banking Due Diligence

Reports To: Manager,Correspondent Banking Due Diligence

How Will I Help?

This position is with the CorrespondentBanking due diligence team in Risk and Fraud Operations to conduct duediligence assessments on Westpac’s global correspondent banking relationshipsto ensure they are not involved in AML/CTF activities.

The Due Diligence / AML Analyst (DDA)is required to perform due diligence assessments on potentially new or existingCorrespondent Banks globally, using an approved Due Diligence Framework andreporting regime. The assessment will be used to determine whether or notWestpac should enter into or continue with an existing relationship based onthe information gathered during the assessment. All existingrelationships will need to be reviewed periodically as part of an ongoing duediligence assessment. The assessments will involve accessing and / or obtaininginformation from various on-line sources, internal stakeholders and Westpac’sglobal correspondent banks. Subsequently using this information to preparereports and forwarding the completed assessments for review and sign-off.

The DDA will support the Due DiligenceManager with regard to maintaining a Correspondent Banking Register, requestingand pursuing approvals from the correspondent banking due diligence stakeholdergroup and communicating with Westpac’s correspondent banks.
