Are you looking to integrate your technical Accounting skills in a consultative and solutions focused role? Join the Capital Market and Advisory Accounting Services team within Assurance and you will assist our clients to address the accounting & financial reporting challenges facing their business. You will be part of a team that provides knowledge, experience and insight into business transactions occurring within Australia and abroad and into emerging regulatory or accounting standard developments. As a Senior Accountant you will lead a team on a range of engagements with responsibility for the end to end assurance tasks including the planning, testing, reviewing and reporting stages. You will also work with Partners across a number of capital raising assignments, ensuring the best possible transaction outcome and minimise execution risk from a balance sheet perspective.

You will

Coordinate and review the audit processes for large and complex financial services clients in the Banking & Capital Markets sector
Work with clients to assess the impact of accounting standards on proposed transactions and throughout the transaction cycle including deal preparation, IPO Readiness, Adviser Selection, Sector expertise & Project Management.
Work with other PwC service lines to deliver a fully integrated client solution
Coach and develop junior staff members
Develop valuable client and peer relationships
Manage audits from budgeting through to final reporting, including the preparation of the audit file for Director and Partner review

Demonstrable experience in a similar role at a Big 4 or International Second Tier firm
Excellent working knowledge of IFRS
The ability to build and maintain strong relationships - this is crucial
A thirst for identifying & solving problems
A team player with a positive "can do" attitude to challenges
An understanding of commercial issues facing businesses in this industry

A completed CA / CPA qualification or equivalent - ideally with first time passes
