A new opportunity has arisen for a Cloud Business Analyst to join us on a contract to be based in Melbourne CBD. At AGL we are always working to be innovative and ahead of the game for our customers. Join the team dedicated to delivering exciting and innovative customer technology. This role is for an initial duration of six months with a potential to extend.


Cloud Business Analyst will be responsible for capturing and translating business requirements into feature and user stories that enable the Cloud/DevOps Engineers to execute. He/she will assist the Product Owner in refining the project backlog and assist in updating existing Cloud documentation.

Your responsibilities include:


- Participate in current and future state requirements workshops with stakeholders, helping to translate business requirements into functional requirements for the development teams.
- Assist with planning and management of technical deliverables by providing status updates back to the Product Owner.
- Create and maintain JIRA tasks, help Scrum Master to plan the sprint, create backlogs. Assist in all phases of delivery - Ideation, Shaping, Execution, Monitoring
- Ability to organise and facilitate agile ceremonies such as discovery, inception, iteration planning meeting, stand-up, showcase & retrospective
- Ability to coach, develop and mentor others - Coaching team members and external customers on the benefits of a lean, agile and adaptive organisation
- Work with the Solution architects to ensure the functional specifications meet business requirements.
- Review end-to-end functional test objectives to ensure the solution meets the business requirements.
- Should be able to define initiatives, Epics, stories, tasks and story points

You will have:
- Strong Business Analyst experience - with high level of competency running workshops to create detailed process requirements/maps/diagrams.
- Experience in creating user requirements documentation throughout the requirements lifecycle.
- Understanding and experience with agile concepts, practices and values
- Proven Cloud skills in AWS & Azure.
- Experience in Cloud Automation and should be able to understand concepts such as DevOps, CI/CD pipeline, Terraform, Cloud security etc. to a certain extent
- Experience working with Agile frameworks and techniques.
- Demonstrated experience in technology integration/interfaces, especially in Cloud technologies.
- Experience collaborating closely with vendors and external technology partners.
- Experience balancing business and IT requirements in shared business-IT projects.
- Sound knowledge of end-to-end project delivery methodologies and technical capability models.
