Working as a key member of the Airline Business Solutions management team, you will utilise data analytics to identify and deliver value to the customer and DSC. To help shape future direction, you will conduct data analyses, develop mathematical models, implement prototypes and conceptually guide a range of stakeholders through new concepts and ideas. You will interpret modeling results in a business context and discuss these with members of Senior Management and the Customer. In order to embed data-driven decision-making in operations, you will help build methodological skills and apply knowledge gained from successfully-completed projects.


Your key responsibilities will include:

• Produce creative and analytical solutions based
on clear and thorough analyses of complex processes and business
relationships
• Development and maintenance of new and existing
models including predictive and prescriptive models
• Interpretation and presentation of analysis and
insights to a range of stakeholders inc. Operations Specialists, Customers
and Senior Management
• Identify new strategic application areas, use
cases or products by applying innovative data analytics methods and
technologies.
• Constantly evaluating volume data by customer to
model growth requirements which impact on
staffing and opportunities for
improvement

To be successful in the role you will hold:

• Advanced knowledge of Excel, with high level experience in Power Pivot, Power Query and Macros
• Experience in presenting data in visual dashboard platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, or other similar packages
• Experience of working with SQL to query databases, extract, manipulate and prepare data
• Experience in scripting languages (e.g. Python, R or Java)
• Logistics and or aviation experience
• University degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Computer Science or related natural sciences / technical degree, or comparable qualification
