  We are in the process of creating an engineering function that supports our Mines. An exciting opportunity exists to join our BMA Asset.  Engineering at BMA plays a critical role in ensuring safety and stability of each Operation.  The engineering function is responsible for managing the capital portfolio, governing and protecting the integrity of assets across all BMA Operations. This role has flexibility around FIFO, residential and Drive-in, Drive out options. With the potential to split your working time across multiple sites and our Brisbane offices. As the Engineering Manager reporting to the Head of Engineering, you will establish a work environment that is planned and predictable which results in safe and efficient execution of small projects.  You will also play a key role in coaching and mentoring your team of high performers to achieve a positive result. In this role you will also be responsible for:
Continuing to build, develop and transform the engineering capability across the BMA Asset;
Managing your team to apply the BHP Charter, Our Requirements, Code of Conduct, relevant statutory obligations and the BMA Internal Standard;
Managing and executing a vast range of multidiscipline small projects to within your portfolio;
Providing technical support as well as the governance and technical stewardship within each Operation.
About You

As part of the Management Team within BMA the following attributes will be key to your success:
Experience managing multidisciplinary teams to deliver positive results in safety, culture and productivity;
Demonstrated capabilities in engaging within a complex organisation at all levels and across Functions;
Proven experience with your engagement with key stakeholders at all levels of the business and juggling multiple priorities;
As a leader in previous positions you will use your leadership skills to coach and mentor your team, drive best practice and truly make a difference to departmental performance; 
Tertiary and/or Post Graduate qualification in Engineering (or related discipline) or equivalent industry and/or organisational experience;
