Essential Duties, Critical Success Factors, Responsibilities,

Authorities and Required Interactions:

The Field Applications and Market Development Specialist is

responsible for providing a broad range of marketing and sales

support. Primary responsibilities include:

• Develop strategies for marketing activities including planning,

developing and organizing advertising policies and campaigns

to support sales objectives

• Advising management on advertising strategies and

campaigns to reach target markets, creating consumer

awareness and effectively promoting the attributes of goods

and services

• Identification of consumer buying behaviour and preferences

through data analysis and study of market trends

• Market Research on new goods and services through the

study of market trends, characteristics through past data or

other sources of statistical information

Execution of marketing objectives and strategies as part of the

objective to support business growth and increase market


• Give recommendation on the type of marketing strategies

required as such product mix, distribution channels or other

related methods

• Coordinate the planning and execution of other marketing

communications and promotional activities including

advertising, publications and collateral

• Gather customer information about trends/needs to support

market development for future products

• Work with Sales Representatives as a technical

consultant/expert as necessary to provide prospective

customers with information to assist with their purchasing


Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree (B.Sc.) or higher

• Requires 3+ years of relevant industry experience preferably in

• Comfortable with rapid change in required work needs and


• Excellent organizational skills (managing multiple priorities,

make appointments, plan schedules, coordinate projects with

other SCIEX personnel)

• Ability to travel at short notice (domestic and international)
