Two positions are currently available for a 3-5 PQE general commercial lawyer in a highly-regarded, collegiate in-house legal team. The role will involve providing practical legal advice and risk-based solutions to internal clients on a range of general commercial law matters. You will work in a supportive in-house team environment dealing closely with all areas and levels of the organisation. Aspects of the role will include:assisting with the review, legal analysis and preparation of advice across a broad range of industries including government sectors such as health, infrastructure and technology.assisting with the review, legal analysis and preparation of advice on a variety of other client engagements and supplier agreements, working closely with the organisation’s risk and compliance teams;assisting with the review, legal analysis and preparation of transaction documents in connection with acquisitions and divestments made by the organisation, working closely with due diligence teams and commercial stakeholders;informing engagement leaders of legal risks and concepts; anddeveloping flexible, creative and innovative solutions to business problems.As a successful candidate, you will have:experience in dealing with and assisting (both in written and verbal communications) experienced management;worked with government either in house or in negotiating complex agreements with government;strong technical skills and corporate law knowledge;the ability to consider critical key issues, assess and articulate legal risks (including likelihood and impact) so the business can make informed, risk-based commercial decisions; andthe ability to prioritise tasks and manage workflow expectations in line with business requirements.Excellent communication skills, confidence to work with senior firm management, a willingness to be involved in a variety of matters and an enthusiasm for working in a fast-paced environment are essential.
