Seeking permanent full-time experienced Head Chef
My Place Bar & Restaurant, are currently looking for an experienced full-time Head Chef to join our establishment. We operate a busy restaurant and bar establishment located right in the heart of the Perth city in WA. The successful candidate must be available to work both day and night shifts, as well as weekends, and has a minimum of 2 years of employment experience in a similar busy commercial kitchen operation, and possess qualifications which are at least equivalent to an Australian Diploma in Hospitality orsimilar.


The duties to be carried out by the successful candidate will include, but not limited to, the following:

- Have a sound knowledge of Australian and African cuisines as these are key to our business
- Plan and create menus according to the seasonal availability of raw ingredients
- Manage the wages of kitchen employees and food cost
- Budget Forecasting of kitchen operation
- Stock control by managing the stock count
- Expenses and cost control through effective utilization of consumables
- Supervise and maintain quality controlfor outgoing meals and incoming produce according to specifications
- Maintain staff records and keep them up to date
- Establish and monitor cleaning procedures
- Ensure all procedures are conducted safely and within OH&S guidelines
- Recruit, train and facilitate skills of staff
- Discipline staff and resolve disputes
- Plan weekly rosters according to functions and staff availability
- Prepare and cook various food items from the menus, for catering and various functions held in the premise or outside as per customer request

- Maintain good relationships and rapport with suppliers and customers
