Description

A casual position as an Inclusion Assistant will be available commencing 28 January 2020, working Monday, Tuesday and alternate Wednesday mornings (5 day per fortnight) during term time (9am-12pm each of those days; 1pm finish for the first 2 weeks of term 1).

The position is paid in accordance with the kindergarten’s Enterprise Agreement.

Key criteria


- Certificate III (Early Childhood Education & Care or Community Services - Children’s Services) or studying towards this qualification, or a higher early childhood qualification
- Ability to provide unobtrusive support to a child with additional needs to facilitate their participation in the kindergarten program
- Ability to work cohesively with the group Teacher and Assistant/Educator to program for, evaluate and note observations of the child with additional needs
- Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to relate to children, parents and staff with warmth and respect The successful applicant will also be required to obtain a Positive Blue Card notice.
