This role lies within the Verizon Australia Operations division. Reporting to the IAM Operations Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the operation of a suite of Identity and Access Management (IAM) services. Many of the solutions are PKI-based and the role would have a focus on administration of Windows, Linux and virtualised services. This team is responsible for the implementation of large scale IAM infrastructure projects across Primary and Secondary Data Centres in Canberra and the support of solutions implemented globally and regionally.
Responsibilities
Provide application engineering and integration support for on-premise PKI clients internationally
Interact with Global Support and Product Engineering teams to analyze and resolve client issues
Conduct administration of various PKI Certification Authorities globally and regionally
Ensure PKI applications remain secure regionally
MaintainPKI applications to ensure stability and performance regionally
Operate and supportvarious IAM platforms and services globally
Contribute to changes / improvements in global and regional infrastructure
Maintain and improve existing documentation
Support projects as required i.e. technical, subject matter or administrative
Share knowledge/experience with more junior staff
Troubleshoot incidents and problems
AdministerVMWare infrastructure and services
Communicate professionally with clients and stakeholders
Essential Functions
Ensure that client support requests are handled in compliance with their SLA’s
Escalate issues within appropriate timeframes as defined by support processes to relevant manager, engineer or vendor
Develop scripts or programs to facilitate operational efficiencies
Perform system integration tasks when requested by the Professional Services Group and when approved by Product Support Management
Respond to system configuration queries, standards and design questions and perform quality assurance testing on patches and proposed solutions where possible.
Conduct up to level three support for a broad product line and international client base as part IAM Operations
Maintain Engineer-level understanding in a suite of security products that are supported by IAM Operations
Develop and maintain suitable test infrastructure
Participate in security audits and adhere to strict security policies and procedures
What we’re looking for...
Demonstrated experience with Linux/CentOS/Redhat is a must
Experience with VMWare or other virtualization tools is a must
Successful candidate must demonstrate strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
Demonstrated Oracle database experience would be beneficial
Demonstrated experience with scripting to resolve operational issues is a must
Demonstrated experience in developing Java programs would be beneficial
Experience as an IAM/PKI engineer would be beneficial
Demonstrated knowledge of IT security concepts a must
Applicant will be require dto undergo security assessment for a security clearance to NV1 to be employedin this role
