Job Description

Management Accountant – Brisbane Corporate Office: Projects / Aquila.

Reporting to the Commercial Manager Projects, you will be responsible for assisting with the projects month-end, forecasting, annual business plan and capital management reporting processes. You will drive cost management, variance analysis, as well as liaising with all our projects on sites e.g. Aquila Underground Mine Project.

You will utilise your extensive knowledge and understanding of management accounting principles (ideally within a mining or resources industry) to deliver on cost analysis and information for both operational and capital expenditure. You will also demonstrate highly developed interpersonal skills to deliver financial information to different stakeholders throughout the operations.

The successful applicant will have strong commercial acumen, be customer focused and possess well-developed, analytical problem-solving skills. You will also hold relevant tertiary qualifications in business and/or commerce and be CA/CPA qualified (or near completion).


- Tertiary qualification in Commerce or related discipline
- Eligible for admission to the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia (ICAA), Australian Society of CPA’s or equivalent professional accounting body.
- Any required competencies for ‘Supervisors’ as determined and recognised by the Coal Mining Safety and Health Advisory Committee.

Additional Information

This is a Monday-Friday role; based in our Brisbane Corporate Office and will require some travel to site to assist the projects.
