Volvo Group Australia is currently seeking a proactive and self-motivated Material Controller to join our Group Trucks Operations (GTO) Logistics team. The primary focus of this role is to assist in the maintenance and development of the factory materials systems in relation to parts management in order to support the broader Logistics Team. You will provide a high level of customer service by ensuring parts are ordered and delivered on-time to meet Production's build requirements.

About the role:
Action the Material control processes
Raise purchase orders and call-offs
Liaise with Logistics Parts co-ordinator to support decision ranges sorting lot sizes, stocking levels and policies for area of responsibility
Monitor the MRP generated order recommendations;
Expediting of orders to meet customer requirements
Support production during core business hours
Manage inventory of parts to minimise risk of obsolescence.
Inform Production Planner in a timely manner of potential shortages of Build critical Parts.
Liaise with Quality and Purchasing teams with regard to product quality issues and returns
Give regular, accurate and timely feedback to relevant stakeholders on delivery issues through escalation process
Participate and encourage team members.
Manage additional workload requirements to accommodate New Product Introductions or major changes to the product.
Have a Bachelor Degree in International Business or at least 5 years of relevant experience.
Have a working knowledge of material control including MRP and JIT systems
Have a sound computer skills, in particular Microsoft Office
Have a strong planning and organisational skills
Have a demonstrated ability to take initiative
Have a sound analytical and evaluation skills
Have a sound understanding of Volvo Productions Systems (VPS)

Salary from $65,000 + superannuation
