Reporting to the Manager of Geoscience within the subsurface team your responsibilities will include:
Development of integrated petrophysical models incorporating well log, core and production data with appreciation for how results are incorporated into geocellular models
Forming recommendations for planning and execution of formation evaluation programs to optimize value of project, including core acquisition
Coordinating post-well log data processing and core analysis and managing petrophysical data
Performing high quality, quick-look formation evaluation in support of well operations
Identification and application of new technologies and methods to reduce uncertainty in a petrophysical evaluation
Recognising inconsistencies in subsurface data or interpretation and resolving or providing recommendations
To be successful in this role you will:
Have the ability to effectively communicate and clearly summarise technical results and impact of analyses
Work effectively as a member of a team with experience working as a Petrophysicist for an operator or a major service company
Have previous experience with advanced logging technology such as NMR, Spectroscopy and Dielectric with knowledge of borehole image interpretation
Maintain in active contact with professional societies; developing and maintaining networks and relationships with key peers across the company and industry for idea-sharing and capability development
You will be based in Perth, Western Australia, in the multi award winning office tower - ‘City Square’.
