We are seeking a Production Training Coordinator to join our Site Systems team at Peak Downs Mine Site. This is an exciting and challenging role where you will be accountable for the management, improvement and governance of the Production Training Function and in accordance with Peak Downs Mine Safety and Health Management System.
Reporting to the Superintendent Site Systems, you will be responsible for providing technical training support to the systems and teams on site which govern work practices and training /assessment activities. Primary focus will be the Mine Site’s Production and Overburden teams.
Being the focal point, you will liaise with the corporate Training & Development group, Site and Production Overburden teams to plan for and facilitate any relevant training activities across the site. You will contribute the Site Systems team in delivering measurable outcomes as part of a continuous improvement process, to bridge any identified gaps, facilitate change and embed new systems and technological tools.
Based on site at our Peak Downs site, this role is a Monday to Friday roster, however flexible work arrangements including part time are on offer for further discussion.
In this role you will
Maintain Training documents within the Safety and Health Management System (SHMS)
Coordinate Training actitives in consultation with the Production and Overburden teams
Assist with audits and provide guidance on training/ safety and/or risk management related matters.
Hold a Certificate IV in Workplace Training and assessing (or equivalent)
Operational experience (minimum Haul Truck, Water Truck and Dozer site authorisation) working at a Qld coal mine in a similar role, with a strong working knowledge of the intent of Qld Coal Mining Safety and Health Act and Regulations and AQTF
Auditing of the Trainer/ Assessors & associated records
Facilitate Trainer/Assessor Network Meetings
Review Training Needs Analysis
Review and create Training packages
Coordination of training events (on site and externally)
Coach site Production stakeholders in requirements of the PDM Training Scheme
Wet weather training for Production
Proficiency projects within the Production/OVB departments
Oversight of simulator
Work Area Familiarisation coordinator for Production/Overburden
Verification of Training assessments for Production/Overburden
Creation of Item and Curricular reviews
Assist the onboarding of Coal Mine Workers to department
Assist in the maintenance of the corrections register
Audit upload and scanning of training records
Compliance reporting for departments as required
Assist Contracting Partners in Record Management
