We are looking for a Senior Consultant/Manager within the Financial Accounting Advisory Services – Data Analytics team in our Sydney office. This role is offered on a flexible full time basis.
Your key responsibilities
Work with finance SMEs and client teams to assess requirements for analytic solutions against analytic methods and technologies and make decisions and recommendations with respect to the appropriate methodologies, tools and technologies to enable the solution
Participate with teams to supply expert guidance on both the availability and applicability of existing solutions; and to discover client needs which can be addressed with advanced analytic solutions not currently developed
Monitor progress, manage risk and ensure key stakeholders are kept informed about progress and expected outcomes
Demonstrate in-depth technical capabilities, strong technical problem-solving abilities and professional knowledge
Skills and attributes for success
A proven track record of being able to build end user technology solutions
Business consulting skills with a “needs based” client centric attitude
Demonstrated characteristics of a forward thinker and self-motivator who thrives on new challenges and adapts to learning new knowledge
Strong decision-making, problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt and learn analytic methodology
Proficiency in using a combination of the following analytics tools to address a business problem: ACL, Alteryx, CPLEX, Tableau, Spotfire, Microsoft SQL Server, SSIS, SSRS, SPSS, SAS, and R
Ideally, you’ll also have
A bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline and 5-10 years of related work experience
Experience within the analytics domain gathering business and technical requirements, solution design and build, testing and solution deployment
External client delivery and solution knowledge spanning data management, data warehousing and reporting/analytics domains
