Speech Pathologist

- Work within a multi-disciplinary clinical team including Dietitians, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Exercise Physiologists, Diabetes Educators, Nurse Practitioners and Massage Therapists

In September 2019, to meet the demands of consumers, the NAPHL Health Hub was opened.
A state-of-the-art healthcare facility delivering interdisciplinary services to the Townsville Region. Due to expansion of our service into multiple regions, we are seeking another Speech Pathologist to provide quality clinical services. There will be opportunities for you to grow as a practitioner and bring along your own unique knowledge and expertise.

We are excited for our future and are looking for a Speech Pathologist to be part of this exciting journey. You will have exposure to an extremely varied (and stimulating) caseload and includes a range of referrals for children and adults with neurological, sensory and physical impairments.

- Opportunities for further career progression About you:

- Tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology
- Current registration (no restrictions) with SPA
- Eligible to obtain a Medicare Provider number
- Current driver's licence and have access to own transport
- Have a passion for delivering superior service and improving lives
- Ability to self-motivate and self-manage, and a strong team ethic
- Demonstrates knowledge of learning difficulties, sensory processing difficulties, and motor skills difficulties, and child development.
- Compile and provide comprehensive reports and or intervention plans and programs
- High level of commitment to customer service
- Advanced oral and written communication skills, and proficient computer skills
- Excellent time management skills
- Enjoyment in delivering goal-oriented and exciting therapy services to clients
- Experience in Paediatric Occupational Therapy or Speech Therapy is highly desirable but not essential
- Is autonomous and self-directed with exceptional clinical and therapeutic skills
You will report to the Clinical Manager, whose commitment is to be approachable and supportive while striving to ensure a safe and enjoyable workplace. There will be strong encouragement for innovation in providing services to individuals and in supporting quality initiatives.
