Job Description


Our Client, a global consumer products packaging company, seeks a temporary Accounts Payable Clerk to join their team in Manchester, MI. The individual will be responsible for processing accounts payable invoices and assist in other accounting functions as described below. This contract is expected to last a couple months with possibility for extension.

- Prepare invoices for payment on a daily basis according to company policy and scan into electronic filing database daily
- Handle all vendor account inquiries, including phone and written requests
- Assist the Plant Controller, Shipping & Receiving Clerk or the Purchasing Clerk to help resolve problems at the plant level
- Assist the Capital Accounting Department with all project-related invoices
- Process check requests as necessary
- Reconcile A/P aging and purchase receipts to the General Ledger
- Prepare weekly reports and month end reports Qualifications

- High School Diploma or Equivalent, some college preferred
- 2 to 3 years of Accounting experience
- Familiar with Microsoft Excel and Windows applications
- SAP experience, Ariba is ideal
- Must be an effective team player and interact well with others
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail Benefits

- Pay ranges from $48K to $50K annually ($24 to $25 per hour), commensurate with experience
- Contract opportunity with possibility for extension
