We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Training & Compliance Team Leader to join the Active Monash team!
The Training & Compliance team leader is responsible for the training and qualification compliance of all Active Monash staff. This position also coordinates training and development strategies and processes. The role will liaise with the People & Culture team at Council and provide support to each department within Active Monash to ensure the correct recruitment and on-boarding procedures are followed for new staff members.
The Training & Compliance Team Leader will assist senior staff in recruitment processes by:
Assisting to develop guidelines, training programs and providing assistance to senior staff in staff selection procedures
Collating and acknowledging applications
Providing support and training of the PageUp application to all staff
Developing and maintaining a working document for position descriptions to coincide with the appropriate responsibilities and banding system
The role will also support managers in the following areas:
HR & general administrative
Develop and manage staff records and qualifications in systems
Develop and maintain reminder processes for qualification updates
Act as HR representative for Active Monash and liaise with the City of Monash People & Culture team
Complete police checks for all new staff members
Training & Development
Develop and manage the annual training calendar with the leadership team, incorporating all regulatory, in house and external training sessions
Assist leadership team to identify staff training needs and develop strategies to respond to those needs
Arrange schedule for and oversee work experience program
What you will need to be successful in this role:
Experience in the leisure industry
High level conceptual and analytical skills with the ability to think strategically
Demonstrated ability to develop and implement Human Resource and Training and development policies and programs
Highly developed communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage time, prioritise work and meet deadlines
Ability to work effectively with a diverse range of people
Proven ability working in a team on complex projects
Working with Children’s Check
Level 2 First Aid with current CPR
Safeguarding Children Certificate
This is a full-time, permanent role. This position is classified at a Band 4 and the salary range is $63,078 - $68,069 dependent upon experience.
