My passion for storytelling is very much connected with film and video. My love for technology and the creative inside me connected all that energizes me into my work. I founded the International Mobile Film Festival in San Diego where all films are shot with mobile phones. A global pioneer.
Founder & CEO
at S. Botello Productions™ / International Mobile Film Festival
July 2006 - at Present
S. Botello Productions™ in San Diego began as a video and media production company. Susan worked in video production and some short and feature films in California. Her experience went back to her teen years and then professionally began to make a living on it in 1998. Learning how to be a professional in every aspect of her career gained her a great reputation which turned to be known for her integrity as a professional and individual. SBP created one of the first, if not the first, film festival in the world where films shot with only mobile phones were screened on big screens and filmmakers came from across the ocean to walk the red carpet, take part in a mobile film workshop and Q&A panel and meet others. SBP has since added a Mobile Film School (non-accredited), and Community Stories program. Most recently, SBP created the SBP Podcast The Voice Of Mobile Film™ for everyone who ever wanted to or is curious about making movies and videos using smartphones.

Video and Filmmaking Instruction
In 2002, Susan spent weeks instructing a group of children and teens on how to make a film from pre-production through production for a non-profit company. Prior to that she had attended a summer camp where she assisted an instructor teaching children to make a small movie. Since then, she has trained interns for a client and then began to instruct the general public in mobile filmmaking using smartphones under the Mobile Film School (non-accredited) program as part of S. Botello Productions' mobile film resource center.
She can instruct people of all ages and her energy and passion along with extensive experience is a valuable asset to her company. Susan is available to help an organization, school or company to learn how to use smartphones to make movies and videos for business, promotion, funding, documentation, and more which can bring aid in connecting members of a community and provide value to an organization or company internally through video production.
Susan has family in Spain and was born to a Spanish Mother which allows her to speak fluent Spanish. She can also read and write in Spanish, even though her native language is American.
