  • Advanced Statistical/Quantitative Social Research Methods

    •The ability to conduct statistical analysis of primary and secondary datasets (preferably using STATA, SAS and/or SPSS) for reports, research articles, and grants.
    •In depth knowledge of biostatistics and the ability to execute and interpret statistical tests. Specifically, must be able to perform bivariate parametric & non-parametric statistical tests such as t-tests, ANOVAs (and post-hoc tests when applicable), chi-square tests, Mann-Whitney, Kruskal-Wallis, Fisher’s exact & tests for trends in ordinal data.
    •Demonstrated proficiency in multivariate modeling with knowledge of linear, logistic, multinomial & ordinal regression, Generalized Linear models, and survival analysis.
    •Have an understanding of data reduction methods such as Factor/Principal component analysis and latent variable analysis.
    •Ability to analyze and interpret longitudinal and multilevel data using a variety of analytic methods.
    •Research, develop and implement new statistical procedures.
