SENA June 2004 - December 2004Designed, budgeted, planned, organized and implemented a curriculum on tropical flowers (Gerberas, Heliconias) and ferns (Leather Fern and Tree Fern) for youngsters in rural areas. Taught, mentored and assessed the students in agricultural management, both theoretical and practical. Set up and managed the above-mentioned plantations. Assisted and advised the students on how to offer their services to agro-companies and/or how to develop a sustainable and self-employed business. The majority of the youngsters obtained their certification as skilful labourers with which they could be employed in the fast growing and labour demanding market.

Live Systems Technology (LST) through the Pre-Cooperative of Agroservices (EMPRESAGRO) October 2003 - June 2004Promoted portfolio of EMPRESAGRO, a distributor of Bayer CropScience and Live Systems Technology (LST) products in Colombia. LST develops, produces and commercialises efficient and selective microbiological products. Marketed and sold the products. Promoted and/or generated the demand for five new products in the region of Valle and Cauca. Identified the potential customers in order to increase the sales. Increased the sales. Monitored and oversaw the stock. Developed and managed commercial trials of microbiological pesticides to demonstrate efficiency and efficacy of products on 20+ commercial crops. Assessed the risk of pesticides. Collected and interpreted data and wrote reports. Gave recommendations (feedback) to company and farmers on specific plantation diseases and pests. Advised the companies and farmers on how to correctly use the products. Counselled the farmers on how to improve plantation yields and profits. Supervised technician Mr. John-Jairo ESCOBAR-MORA.

Bioberica’s products (aminoquelants, humic, fulvic and amino acids) are used in plant nutrition and soil conservation. Created the demand for six new products in the region of Valle (North). Increased the sales. Monitored and oversaw the stock. Set up, monitored and managed commercial trials in order to test products efficacy to increase the productivity of 20+ crops. Collected, evaluated and interpreted research data. Wrote and presented feedback reports to companies. Gave agronomic recommendations to agro-companies and farmers. Explained and demonstrated to farmers how to use the products, specifically what dosage to use, and when and how to apply.
