Charlin is a startup founded by BCG Digital Ventures and Belfius Bank. As a part of the leadership team my responsibility is to craft a compelling product vision by leading other designers to provide user-based and evidence-based input and validation. Achievements in this role: - Delivered product to the market by supporting and leading team with conceptual design, research, prototyping, detailed design, usability testing and implementation; - Enriched mobile app experience by translating research and data into features and applying mobile best practices; - Improved designs/prototype delivery time by creating and scaling up Design System; - Centralised product knowledge by documenting solutions and collaboration with marketing and development leads. - Increased design maturity by applying self-made, user centric and data-driven design model, and leading them through the complexity of methods and processes.
Head of UX

Over the course of my time at Movify, as Head of UX I also: - Established Movify brand as design experts by increasing design projects to all major Belgian banks including online banks and telecoms; - Grew the team from 3 to 25 designers (UX, UI, service design) by participating in the hiring and evaluation process that helped creatives get needed support and training; - Evangelised design by organising regular design meet-up and other design related events. - Reduced project budgets (up to 50%) by mapping user needs with business goals using research and validation techniques. - Transformed teams from being production focused into world class human-centred and evidence-based creative and innovative teams. I did it by establishing lean UX approach and enabled cross-team collaboration. - Improved concept creation by using rapid prototyping and user-validation; - Enriched products quality by using analytics data to monitor and detect issues and provide solutions quickly.
Senior UX/UI Designer

Belgacom (now Proximus) is Belgian biggest telecom operator and ISP. - Designed EU-first (before European Netflix launch) digital TV available on multi platform (TV-web-mobile) with user profiling; - Improved interactions with the product, by applying 3-screen strategy; - Reduced complexity inherited from the previous product by researching types of usage, context and opportunities with existing and potential customers; - Aligned multinational team (Belgium-Italy-France-Netherlands) by documenting and explaining the Information Architecture; - Improved product quality and production times by detecting early the usability and design issues. I did this by user-testing interactive prototypes (as there are no prototyping tools for TV, I created my own tool, using XML, some JS and old apple remote control). - improved organisation's design maturity by introducing Design Thinking method. This led to company-wide start of using DT as standard practice to created new products.
