    I was employed as a global recruitment manager with The Talent Boom to open up their first international expansion outside of SA in Amsterdam. I was responsible for building out The Talent Boom’s recruitment brand and services across the European, US and Asia markets. Through the use of market research and a strategically focused business development plan I have been able to successfully build a new global team across locations focused on delivering top executive and senior level talent for big brand international clients within the creative and digital sector.

    I supported the organization in events such as dinners, Ceilidhs, corporate golf days. Having tirelessly marketed events to secure attendance I exceeded targets and expectations. One of my main responsibilities within my role at DEBRA was to give a presentation about the charity and what it is like for an EB sufferer on a day-to-day basis. I created this marketing tool that I presented at events and to potential business supporters. This included a presentation at the Scottish parliament in which many important guests attended. I encouraged people to take part in marathons and other outdoor activities on behalf of the charity, securing partnership with the Scottish charity the “Kiltwalk”. It was regarded as a huge PR and fund raising success and succeeded in significantly raising the profile of DEBRA. I also managed the charity’s regional social media, regularly posting blogs and updates on Facebook, Twitter and optimizing coverage via this key marketing medium.

    Ayr Racecourse marketing and sales department regularly run corporate events and I was privileged to undertake student work placement in the department in 2008. Since then I have been asked back several times to work as a corporate hostess at race meetings such as The Scottish Grand National as a part of the marketing, PR and customer care team. I was responsible for looking after high profile clients who are spending their days within corporate hospitality and for promoting the racecourse, selling race day packages and corporate hospitality.

    I was brought back to Radley James as a lead consultant to help with the set up of the Scotland division. This role involved being responsible for growing the business from scratch by using a strategically planned business development approach. My main responsibility to begin with was the creation and development of meaningful business relationships that have led to obtaining key accounts that have been vital to Radley James’ first year of business growth. I spent the first 6 months in this role independently in the Edinburgh office where I continued to develop a good understanding of my clientele, focusing on their industry, what they do and their work culture and environment. This role saw me act as the number two to my regional director and very quickly my responsibilities seemed to organically increase to include more of the overall business strategy and people management.

Other responsibilities I have within this role included candidate management, negotiating client/candidate expectations, coaching candidates and advertising across a number of different networks.
