  • Application packager

    at European Parliament

    April 2019 - at Present

    District de Luxembourg

I relocated to Luxembourg after qualifying for this position. It is very similar to what I had been doing for the past 4 years in Danske Bank. Same tools are used, mostly same ITIL process; just a lot more documentation is involved in each package being created. Continuing my professional expertise as application packager, learning to adapt to different Windows infrastructure and environment, learning new ways of achieving wanted results.

  • Mass deployment and packaging engineer

    at Danske Bank

    May 2015 - April 2019

    Vilniaus Apskritis

This role was completely new to me when I joined Danske Bank, but I learned it really quickly and became one of the most valued and versatile team member in no time. My main and daily responsibility was application packaging for Windows 7, Windows 10 and MacOS and mass deployment of software to all 30000 workstations. I would normally create or modify package depending on given situation, usually I had to make sure installation is silent, automated updates disabled and all other requirements that we had. Once package is fully operational I would test it and make sure it works as expected in all different systems/environments and scenarios. Once testing is complete I would create change request and mass deployment plan present the deployment in CAB meeting, answer all the questions and identify potential risks to our stakeholders and other managers. Finally, I would schedule and implement the mass deployment usually after working hours to minimize user impact.

  • Desktop Support engineer

    at Barclays Bank

    November 2010 - May 2015

    Vilniaus Apskritis

Job in Remote Desktop Support team as a senior engineer, providing 2nd line support over the phone while connected to user's workstation remotely. This was very demanding and challenging work, due to huge company scope (support scope was around 200 000 workstations), different domains, PC builds and environments. Each issue would differ completely and therefore I have mastered Windows OS (XP, 7 and 10) while working here. My responsibilities would also include driving various IT related projects (i.e. improving team processes, preparing 1st line engineers and provide training sessions, renewing team’s knowledge base etc.).
