An opportunity for me to facilitate the management of a highly-attended event in a flexible role that included ushering, staffing the information desk and troubleshooting niggling issues that came up during duty shifts. This experience refined my listening skills in a hospitality-oriented environment. It was an oversubscribed, widely-lauded event that brought out my problem-solving skills.

Theatre takes everyone on a journey, and ushers are the guides on that journey. It was a privilege to help patrons out, and accompany theatre-goers on their interactive experience with the cast of four major Shakespeare productions this season. There were one or two emergencies that had to be dealt with while on duty, and effective communication was critical to rapidly responding to client needs. This was an opportunity to ensure that everybody had the best possible experience, which involved curation and plenty of consideration.
