Osaka University October 2012 - at PresentI am working here as a reseach scholar for two and a half years. My major field of research is organometallic chemistry, inorganic synthesis and catalysis using the metal based catalysts. Presently I am working on preparation of cerium based organometallic complex and using it as a catalyst for aerobic oxidation of alcohol. As these complexes are very much sensitive, I gained expertise to handle very oxygen and water sensitive compounds during their preparation, work up and purification. For characterisation of compounds I use NMR, IR, CV, UV, GC-MS, ESI-MS spectroscopic method and X-ray crystallography. Therefore I have good knowledge to interpret the data and also handing of these intruments. For research purpose I have the knowledge to use software like chemdraw, Mnova, microsoft office, Scifinder, Reaxys. I have recently submitted my research work for publication. I have 4 months left to receive my PhD degree.
