Leading a massive Change Management Program (CMP). The major thrust of the CMP was the transition of the organization from the previous strategy to the current one (2017-2021) and this involved: the institutional decentralization process – establishing 11 country offices; review of processes, systems and procedures for adoption across the 11 countries; staffing the new country offices and most importantly leading negotiations with the different governments in the host countries to facilitate the set-up of country offices and ensuring that they all meet the legal and regulatory requirements of the host countries. As a result of efficiency in operationalizing activities in these countries, AGRA now has presence in 11 countries across Africa in addition to having investments to the tune of US$ 140m with the potential to reach 7M
January 2012 - December 2015
Generate and oversee an investments portfolio in East and Southern Africa to the tune of US$ 4M covering 7 countries and engaged 0.5 million farmers directly. My role was to provide advisory services to Farmers Organizations (FOs) on organizational development while working with the FOs and Service Providers to develop concept notes for funding. During this period, the program was able to raise additional funds to the tune of US$ 7M. I also led the creation of an incentive system for good organization performance through the Africa Farmer Organization of the Year Award (AFOYA), which was a platform to showcase good performance and help create standards for the FOs/cooperatives we engaged. During this period, I successfully led 3 editions of the AFOYA before it was handed over to the Pan Africa Farmer Organization (PAFO) to take it to scale.
