    Responsible for managing the Organic and Inorganic Chemistry undergraduate laboratory. This involved setting-up the apparatus required for each practical, preparation of solutions, ordering and stock take of chemicals, supervising the assistant technicians, maintaining a safe environment in the laboratory, on-site technical assistance to undergraduate students and administration of the undergraduate practical’s (this included entering the practical, test and examination marks onto the database and allocation of practicals). I also provide assistance to postgraduate students regarding laboratory related issues e.g. assisting students on the use of specific instruments such as the GC and IR. This post also requires amending existing experiments and researching new and improved experiments to introduce into the undergraduate curriculum.
