    English and Science Teacher at El Colegio de Panamá (over 5 years) I was an English teacher in elementary school. When I started, I taught English and Science to grades fourth, fifth, and sixth. As time went by, I became greatly interested in teaching Science. Hence, I volunteer to restructure the Science department and dedicate to this course in elementary School. That is how I became the Science teacher for fourth and fifth grade this past year. Not only was I in charge of planning the lessons, but also I had to coordinate with other Science teachers to ensure their alignment to the school's curriculum. This was a very successful year for the Science department. Students learned while experimenting and having fun in the laboratory.

    As an ELT consultant for Richmond Publishing I was in charge of visiting school all over Panama to provide guidance in the use of Richmond English textbooks. Also, I was responsible for providing workshops in ELT strategies and methodologies. I was in charge of conducting TESOL and Cambriadge certification being in constant contact with overseas consultants of Richmond in Mexico, Costa Rica, and England. Inside Santillana-Richmond I had the responsability to organize the annual Richmond-Santillana congress for educator in Panama. Additionally, I was in charge of creating seminars of new editions of the textbooks aimed for Santillana-Richmond sales representatives.

    As an English teacher at AIAP I had the opportunity to teach ELA classes in 4th grade. I also taught Mathematics and Science. I was assigned as the home room teacher position in which I had to be I contact with parents and report students progress to academic coordination. Being an International school it followed an US curriculum aligned with CCSS, making classes focused on achieving specific standards aimed to develop language as a whole.
