As Postdoc I managed and coordinated different projects on toxicity and mode of action of binary oxy-PAHs/PAHs mixtures in cell lines and on cardiotoxicity in zebrafish. Both on my PhD and Postdoc I managed the in vivo lab, I was responsible for the daily scientific operation, created SOP and quality and safety documents, I was responsible for training, managed collaborations and projects. During my Post-doc I managed and coordinated three different projects in collaboration with other scientific groups. I promoted clear and precise communication between the groups and developed and adhered to a project plan with milestones for the completion of the tasks. I managed and supervised 2 BSc, 3 MSc and 2 PhD students, mentoring and coordinating their projects.

As a PhD I led a project on chemosensitisation assessment of emergent and organic pollutants using zebrafish embryo tests. Both on my PhD and Postdoc I managed the in vivo lab, I was responsible for the daily scientific operation, created SOP and quality and safety documents, I was responsible for training, managed collaborations and projects. Furthermore, during my PhD I also managed my own research project budget and finances. I am an author on 12 publications, 5 of which as first author. I often had to write reports to different stakeholders describing the group’s scientific activities and wrote and designed several scientific posters for international congresses. I presented in different international conferences, departmental seminars, taught different courses and lab practices and presented at a “Meet a Scientist” event in Porto. I was also a Guest lecturer at the Portuguese League Against Cancer.
