Performs installation, maintenance and repair on wind turbine measurement equipment and meteorological masts; Install, configure, troubleshoot, operate, maintain, inspect, test, and calibrate wind and solar power measurement equipment and associated communications equipment for wind turbine and solar pv performance tests; Support with the specification, procurement and preparation of measurement equipment, including but not limited to electrical panels and components, data-loggers, anemometers, wind vanes, thermos hygrometers, barometers, pyranometers, current and voltage transformers, power transducers and electrical cabinets. Install and configure wire and wireless communication networks using industry standard protocols for automatic meter reading such as Modbus, Ethernet, RS232/485, protocol converter devices, GPRS, Iridium satellite communication, fiber optics; Diagnose problem root cause, repair and replace malfunctioning equipment on the field; Design electrical panels and power equipment, including schematic diagrams and circuit design; Monitor and analyze statistically wind and solar power records using international standards and internal best practice; Inspect and supervise installation of met masts, manage mast installation subcontractors; Technical report writing and computational tool development; Complete company required documentation in a timely manner such as Job Safety Analysis, Risk Assessments, time sheets, expense reports, inspection check sheets, tracking reports and scheduling controls. Electric, Electronic, Industrial Automation technician diploma or equivalent from two-year College or technical school. Desirable but not limited to experience in wind, solar or electrical industry in a technician related role working with electrical cabinets and industrial communication. English skills Skills required: Self-starter, quick learner, takes initiative and ownership. HSE mindset. Excellent organization skills and attention to detail. High level of integrity and confidentiality. Ability to fit within team, taking guidance and instruction from senior staff, while comfortable with working independently for certain periods. Able to work effectively and professionally with diverse people clients and co-workers. NR10, NR33 and NR35 certification. The ideal candidate must have: willingness and ability to travel within Brazil or Latin America, remaining away from Office up to 50% of the time or more (international travel is a possibility but with lower likelihood). Valid driver's license and comfortable in driving long distances (300 km), alone or accompanied, to remote areas where wind farms are usually located.
