    #1 Incredible number - as @Moi Kliniger knows this is in my top 3 Stones numbers. The late Brian Jones played the sitar on this one which gives it it's distinctive sound. Used as a theme in a few Vietnam war movies as well, perfectly encapsulates the despair and desperation of that terrible conflict.

    #1 So agree! The writing, the talent, the whole collective sound is awesome. I think sometimes the melody and beat over shadow the lyrics and what the message conveyed gets lost like many other great songs. Subject to interpretation as everything is I guess. Great music, no matter. So jealous you got to see them perform it!

    I love this song Joyce. Saw Stones last USA concert and they performed it! They are amazing talented performers for their age. Brought the house down performing Paint It Black :)))
