#7 Which is useful also to remember, that back then in the 60's when all those sharp cut stone joints were found, no laser tech yet invented, so it was understandable to think that it could not have been us.

#7 True. Also, it may be both, aliens and us, and probably was, and will be. Because " I was there " when his theories came out, I remember the effect - back then it was unheard of to think that it could have been us all over again.

Yes I am aware of Erich's theories, but suspect that the majority of it was, and is us. Why is it more acceptable that aliens produce these inexplicable ancient finds, rather than we have fallen as a civilization at least once before. Even now we teeter on the edge of a sticks and stones reboot.

#5 I am not sure if you are of the same generation as I, but I am guessing you grew up in the 60' or 70's ? Were you influenced by Erich von Däniken's books and documentaries from that period ?

They are from the same epoch, pre history. One of my many fascinations, aside from machines.#4

The title of this is, "Freudian Slip" so the Venus needed the masculine counterpart, and the Moai, with their subliminal phallic shape leaped to mind... Plus they have time in common.

@William VanDorin haa, so you too have found primarily interesting the symbolic shape of the Easter Island figures. I recently came across the studies that they are making there, even at the moment, and that the figures go on, inside the ground, and they have many stange symbols and engraves on them

Did you @Teresa Gezze know about this study ?
