Then and Now: Stingray

This one is a bit different. The 68-77 Chevrolet Corvette is considered one of the most recognizable performance cars that burns down the hot rod highways and through car culture. Running in continuous build since 1953; Corvette has been through many styling renditions and updates over the decades. The angled fenders, the deep pointed nose, the pop up headlights, the open air roadster is still on pulse for a slice of Americana Heritage. The new Corvettes, have become sleeker, smoother, more sedate in my opinion; they have lost that original 'edge'.

And so steps in Mercedes with this number. They look every bit like they are ready to go Stingray hunting with this speedster. I hope it makes it from concept to build, Mercedes is doing some amazing things with power and performance lately - this one gets my blood to run hot. Sorry Chevy, Germany just beats you in styling and tradition with their version.
