I had to relearn to be a good listener. Especially when you are in sales you are often conditioned to think "solutions". So as soon as the prospect says something you think is a problem that you know how to solve you loose focus.

It´s not a problem of just sales people though. Prejudice (I know what you are going to say) and planning what you are going to say next makes most people poor listeners.
