We need talented software developers to further the success of the Service Router product family (including the 7950, 7750, and 7250).  The Service Router team has grown tremendously since the acquisition of TiMetra in 2003.  We are #2 in carrier edge routing word-wide, with over 750K+ platforms shipped to over 1000+ customers in 130+ countries.  We lead the industry with the best Network Processor technology (FP4 @ 2.4 Tb/s), QoS, parallel processing, Network Function Virtualization, and product quality.

Kanata is a major R&D site in this international team with development in key areas of all products.  Opportunities include:   
Embedded platform driver / OS (64 bit SMP)
Data path (including network processor and virtualized)
Control plane protocols (IP/MPLS)
Deep Packet Inspection
Management interfaces (SNMP, NETCONF, YANG)
Network Function Virtualization (VSR)

If you have strong embedded software skills, you are a candidate for our team. Aptitude and Attitude are more important than specific experience criteria. 
Relevant Experience:
Good working knowledge of C and/or C++
Experience in embedded development.
Demonstrated track record of excellence.
Hands-on experience with IP routers and/or IP test tools would be appealing.
Degree in Computer engineering, Computer Science, equivalent, or better
