Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:


Understands and performs all phases of the budget process in accordance with internal procedures, policies, tools and standards


Handles complex activities such as budget amendments, analyzing of budget to actual reports, assisting budget center managers and principals, and performing other ad-hoc budget review as delegated by budget managers


Utilizes knowledge of budget policies and practices to perform complex budget activities in support of accurate and timely budget preparation, processing and distribution


Monitors and processes amendments/modifications and ensures accurate accounting distribution


Analyzes and processes changes on internal reports and make corrections to internal applications


Collects and compiles data


Interfaces with employees and managers to answer questions regarding budget matters for development, monitoring, and managing site-based budgets


Makes recommendations on improving budget processes and serves on project team for all systems updates, software implementations and in-service training


Stays abreast of new laws and legislation that may impact the district budget


Collects data and metrics to support quality control initiatives and key performance indicator reporting


Maintains a high-level of customer service in the resolution of customer inquiries
