Category Manager - Buyer (known internally as Product Marketing Manager Accessories)

The Accessories Device Management Team plays a pivotal role in bringing this to life - we manage end-to-end lifecycles of wireless device cases, screen protectors, power, audio and connected things to enhance the way customers experience their devices. The Product Marketing Manager is part of this team and is responsible for management of the Essentials accessory categories (such as cases, screen protection, etc.) at Rogers and Fido. The individual will lead the product and marketing strategy, and own all lifecycle activities from selection, to vendor negotiations through to channel launch. Ultimately, driving growth of the Essentials categories with a focus on revenue and attach rates.

What you will be doing:


- Define and execute product strategy and roadmap for the Essentials categories by leading all product launch and lifecycle activities
- Identify key trends and opportunities by analyzing the market, competitive landscape and operational results within new and existing channels
- Build and grow strategic relationships with new and existing vendor partners
- Develop and execute a 360 marketing launch plan and ongoing promotional calendar, outlining strategies and tactics by channel
- Establish product and sales training strategy, tactics and execution plans in collaboration with the sales team and external vendor partners
- Collaborate with cross functional teams on market leading projects and programs

What you bring:


- 4+ years of experience in a buying, marketing, category management or similar role - wireless or retail industry experience an asset
- A positive attitude and motivated to continuously learn through pilot programs
- Proven ability to influence and interact with internal and external cross functional groups and various levels within an organization
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong MS Excel and PowerPoint experience an asset
