Summary of Responsibilities
Pembina Pipeline is recruiting a Specialist, Contracts to join the Supply Chain Management team within the Operating Services Unit (OSU). Based in our Calgary corporate office and reporting to the Coordinator, Sourcing (Opex, TSU & Corporate Services), the Specialist, Contracts provides dedicated support to the Information Services Unit (ISU). A fully-qualified, working-level contract and procurement professional, the Specialist is adept at managing pre- and post-award activities for software and services, including competition management, purchase document or contract formation, administration, analysis and reporting, ensuring that all sourcing activities are undertaken with fairness, equity and transparency. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Form and administer all ISU contracts (up to $5M);
Act as the SCM resident expert to the assigned client group (ISU);
Manage and administer the life cycle of IT/IS contracts;
Provide complex contracting advice in area of specialty;
Lead new contract RFP's and contract renewal negotiations;
Build and maintain positive relationships with suppliers and internal business team members and stakeholders;
Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to solve high-complexity contract issues;
May be required to negotiate settlements on high complexity and value;
Provide training and mentoring to less experienced Contracts or Sourcing Specialists; and
Provide transparent and regular reporting of activities on a weekly basis.

The ideal candidate possesses a can-do attitude, provides the highest levels of customer service and can demonstrate the ability to manage through times of change and uncertainty. Additional qualifications include:
Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Commerce, Business Administration or Information Services;
APEGA, CPA, ISM, IACCM, ICEC or PMAC or SCMP designation is an asset;
10+ years' experience in the acquisition of software and services for IT or IS projects;
In-depth working knowledge of contracts administration processes and procedures as applied to IT/IS procurement;
Ability to liaise with senior level project management and other stakeholders;
Proficient with SAP and expert user of the Contract Management system;
Able to handle fast-paced, high volume workload encountered in the IT/IS environments;
Strong understanding of work processes and legal frameworks;
Familiar with simple and complex software license purchases, software subscriptions, software support/maintenance services, as well as professional services requirements;
Advanced Supplier Relationship Management skills;
Experience in the formation of significant commercial negotiations and purchase agreements;
Ability to think critically and act logically to evaluate situations and provide solutions to ensure success;
Good verbal and written communication skills;
Commitment to delivering quality work that consistently meets or exceeds expectations;
Ability to organize, prioritize and manage workload effectively with conflicting deadlines and priorities; and
Ability to incorporate understanding of company strategies and business priorities into all work.
