If you are looking to use your knowledge of data science to create insights and value in a renowned video game company, this is the job you have been looking for. In a data science team based in San Francisco and Montreal, you will get to influence how we work with data science as you generate insights that are actively put to use. This position is embedded in the NCSA Data Science Montreal office.
Full stack scientist
As a data scientist, you will get access to a large panel of tools corresponding to different steps of the analysis. The most commons are SQL/HiveQL for data extraction, Python/Spark for data analysis and Tableau for data visualization.
Member of a versatile team
The team is fully transverse as we are working with production, marketing, CRM, media, sales and finance.
You will be part of a team based in Montreal and San Francisco but you will also work with other data teams based all around the world, especially Paris. The CRM team is also between Montreal and San Francisco.
Focus – Customer Relationship Management
Your mission will focus on the communication with our players on the internal channels: email and in-game news.
You will work closely with the CRM operation to make a better use of the segmentations and scores the data science team is providing. You will integrate their feedback and build new scores dedicated to their needs.
To optimize the ROI of our internal channels, you will contribute to the attribution model and highlight how to make the most of them. To do so, you will work closely with the other data scientists, especially on the media and e-commerce side.
Engagement programs & lifetime value
You will help monitoring the benefits of our engagement programs as part of our on-going goals to increase player addressability and lifetime value. You will give insights on the best approaches to engage Ubisoft players.
Master or upper in computer science or similar
2+ years of experiences as a data scientist and/or data engineer
Proficiency in Python or other data oriented languages (Spark, R…)
Proficiency in SQL or similar
Proficiency to work with Machine Learning Library
Strong interest for the gaming industry
Knowledge of data visualization
Experience with advanced analytics
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Speak and write English and French fluently
Ability to reconcile technical and business perspectives
Ability to develop and maintain good interdepartmental relations and communicate with colleagues at all hierarchical levels
