JOB SUMMARY
The Director of Event Planning is responsible for leading the Event Planning Team.
Ensures that the property events have a seamless turnover from sales to service back to sales. Recognizes opportunities to maximize revenue opportunities by up-selling and offering enhancements to create outstanding events.
Based in Denarau, the key focus of our Sales Centre professionals is to drive conversion of Group and Event business for our 4 Sheraton and Westin Resorts in Fiji
Sales professionals have both personal and team revenue goals and are
required to work
cohesively using the Marriott International sales operating
systems to ensure delivery of the
highest levels of customer service
Responsible for maintaining the highest service standards and quality of work to
our customers,
thus driving customer loyalty for our resorts and Marriott
International, across the enterprise
To deliver exceptional site inspections, client meetings, event proposals,
contracts, event
resumes and sales and event plans are critical for this role.

Ensuring and Providing Exceptional Customer Service
Leading the weddings and special events planning team
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Education and Experience
Required:
• 2-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major; 4 years experience in Event Planning within a multiple property or multiple venue environment

Have strong sales and negotiating skills with creative flair required to close
business opportunities
·
Possess excellent organisation and time management skills to proactively
meet customer needs
·
Excellent computer and communication skills and the ability to learn and adapt
to new systems
