The HRBP plays a critical role in ensuring that Roche Canada is a great place to work by contributing towards an engaging, trusting and flexible culture. As well, this role partners with HRBP’s, the business and key stakeholders to ensure people strategies, processes and projects are implemented effectively and aligned with our business goals. 
This exciting opportunity will provide the successful candidate the opportunity to work closely with the business during a time of rapid change and transformation. 
What is this role about?
Partnering: 
Client Group and Subject Matter Expert (SME) Partnering: act as the primary HR partner for assigned clients for a wide range issues (engagement, team effectiveness, new team development, employee relations issues, policy questions, People Manager development, etc.) and facilitate client solutions through the appropriate SME when required. Work collaboratively to support business leaders in making people decisions that align to our culture and business goals.  
Being a Change Agent: 
Through a wide variety of methods and interactions, actively support change efforts by ensuring Managers and employees always understand the “why” and adopt new practices to support flexibility and agility. Act as a credible activist within the business and HR Community and demonstrate the ability to shift from “expert to coach” in terms of HR Service delivery.
Global Collaboration: 
Support the successful execution of global and local people practices during a time when many of our practices are changing. This will include partnering with People Managers and other HRBP’s who are co-located as well as those who are located in various sites throughout the Roche world.

Bachelor’s Degree and HRPA designation are a definite asset.
A minimum of 3-5 years of work experience as an HR Business Partner will allow you to help us shape our new culture and create a dynamic employee experience.
Experience supporting global client groups and working in a highly matrixed environment is an asset.
Ability to exert influence to create positive cultural change and the courage to speak-up when required.
A mindset that understands that HR’s value comes from the delivery of flexible business-oriented solutions.
Ability to use curiosity and creativity to try new things; we are in a time of change, in both HR and the business.
Demonstrated experience managing and supporting change initiatives, both cultural change and business-led change.
Solid experience in handling employee relations issues
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, and to handle multiple, competing priorities.
Proficient in MS Office and HRIS software; knowledge of Workday is an asset.
