Description

FCA Canada is currently seeking a Lead Reliability Specialist to join our Quality team at FCA’s Quality Engineering Centre in Windsor, Ontario. The Lead Reliability Specialist is responsible to assist with identification and corrective actions of part failures identified through the analysis process.

The Lead Reliability Specialist must: have a proven track record for developing and executing standardization of manufacturing Quality enablers; possess creative problem solving skills, proactive and steadfast in the identification and resolution of vehicle quality; have experience in managing cross-functional group; possess a broad knowledge of the entire automotive engineering, manufacturing and quality landscape; be able to present outstanding teamwork; and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities and qualifications of the Lead Reliability Specialist are:

Identifying new emerging field issues by analyzing warranty returned material and data to understand failure modes and effects
Managing all parts return material activities for their area and ensure returned material is utilized to assist with Corporate Quality Initiatives
Utilizing corporate data reporting systems to capture quality spills and to ensure clean points are in place
Representing the “Voice of the Customer” to the platform teams
Demonstrating unwavering commitment to delivering results and champion achievements
Possessing strong interpersonal skills with ability to work in team environments
Managing day-to-day activities of assigned Unifor personnel
Possess strong communication and verbal skills
Being self-motivated and willing to challenge teams on all aspects of quality
Attend EPUS Task Force Meetings; Current Production Quality Meetings; and CST Quality Meetings
Optimization QEC Process Flow
Managing and handling: DDI — Monthly calls and manufacturing reviews for dealer issues; DPA; SMI — Daily reviews with suppliers; NSR — Work with QE’s on supplier input; and NEI Reviews-Capture NEI and feedback to proper org and owner

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or equivalent
Minimum of 3 years of experience in automotive manufacturing facility
Experience in supervising others
Creative problem solving ability and a results orientation
Comfortable with complex technical analysis
Experience in LEAN Manufacturing principles or World Class Manufacturing (WCM) and problem solving techniques
Related experience in automotive and manufacturing environments
Previous experience working in a union environment
Ability to work shift hours as necessary
Well-versed in Microsoft Office applications
Effective presentation/public speaking skills
Experienced with problem solving tools
Ability to work in a fast paced environment
Ability to lead and motivate others to exceed objectives
A wide degree of creativity and latitude is required
Attention to detail, accuracy, and good time management skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Proficient organizational skills
Legally authorized to work in Canada for any employer
Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of data analytics tools (SPC, Warranty Analysis Systems, GIMS, eCIMs, PFS)
Technical and Analytical problem solving skills
