Your challenge! The overall payroll management process is centrally supported by a multidisciplinary team from Shared Human Resources Services (HRMS) and Ultimate, the business solution partner.

Reporting to the Director of Service, your expertise and technical knowledge will be used to lead the entire payroll team and ensure that activities are carried out efficiently and in line with Cascades business objectives.

Job Responsibilities -Engage the team in an effective communication dynamic, maintaining clear messages and seeking employee input to ensure better engagement

-Manage effectively the staff under your responsibility (coordinators and payroll specialists) and develop a climate conducive to continuous improvement

-Ensure and comply with Service Level Agreements (SLAs)

-Contribute to the implementation of various management tools such as the development of a KPI plan and overall capacity management.

-Act as an advisor to the Service Director, the resources under his responsibility and the business partners;

-Ensure the use and development of various tools and processes to ensure proper management of the department s performance;

-Resolve more complex issues raised by the payroll team or managers regarding payroll, compensation and corporate policies - effectively and sensitively;

-Act as a partner by being involved in projects or processes according to the needs of Cascades business groups and operationalize the required changes.

Desired experience Minimum of five years of experience in personnel management

Ability to establish strong working relationships within the organization;

Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels of the organization;

Membership in the Canadian Payroll Association is an asset

Technical competencies Excellent knowledge of the Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio);

Fluency in French and English (bilingualism is an asset)

Understanding the complete payroll cycle (earnings, deductions, remittances, account reconciliation, year-end processes, etc.) - an asset
