Physical Security Specialist, Corporate Security Services

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Support the provision of Physical Security Management Services at Rogers locations:

- Review/resolve customer issues and requests with respect to CCTV, Access Control, 3rd Party Alarm Monitoring, Locksmith Services, Executive Support, Special Events and requests for Physical Security Assessments/Audits

Physical Security Services Administration:

- Daily review of National guard service provider service commitments, national security system provider service call log and locksmith provider service call log
- Participate in quarterly KPI sessions with suppliers
- Participate in vendor selection/procurement process
- Assist with timely and accurate payment of invoices for service
- Complete quarterly updates of security hardware and service inventories
- Participate in the development and implementation of Physical Security Policies and Procedures

Physical Security Projects:

- Assist with the completion and delivery of all approved security projects including new installations, upgrades and major repairs
- Review site drawings to ensure required security hardware has been identified for installation
- Participate in the final approval and award of all new installations

Management and Maintenance of all physical security systems:

- Ensure that all Physical Security systems are performing as expected on a daily basis and are up to date with the latest software and firmware versions
- Ensure that all access privileges to physical security systems are tracked and monitored
- Validate requests for access and administrative privileges to physical security systems
- Participate in SOX and internal control audits.


- 5 + years Physical Security experience in a corporate environment.
- CPP certification preferred but not required
- Post-secondary degree or Diploma in Law & Security, Police Foundations or Criminology an asset
- Able to work shifts to support National 7/24/365 physical security services operation
- Experience in conducting Security Threat Risk Assessments and Executive Protection and Special Events programs
- Strong documentation, reporting and communication skills
- Good judgment and problem-solving ability, excellent attention to detail
- Diversity awareness, understanding and respect for cultural differences
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Outlook and Excel and PowerPoint
- Knowledge of Incident Command Centre Operations preferred but not mandatory
