What is the opportunity?

 

We are looking for an experienced Senior Cloud Developer - Platform Engineering that will be working on delivering solutions to implement and support Cloud technologies. You will be part of vibrant team working on deploying tools tackling a variety of challenges while delivering a high level of application and product knowledge, technical expertise and problem solving skills to our user community across the enterprise, as well as acting as a trusted resource for less-experienced department personnel.

 

What will you do?

Provide development work to deploy new technologies
Assess, research and analyze business and system needs, exploring alternative options to recommend technology solutions and designs
Lead detailed design phases for small to large projects/ programs identifying, tracking and resolving technical issues.
Together with Project Manager, determine best mix of development, interfacing applications, third party vendor solutions to meet business requirements and project objectives.
Contribute to successful project completion by identifying risks and developing/recommending mitigation strategies.
Organize and participate in walkthrough reviews of all technical specifications, programs and unit test plans.
Focus on removing inefficiencies in the way technology is used (or not used), automating processes wherever possible.
Trouble shooting and provide solutions to technical issues related to Cloud Platform
 

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

5 years’ experience in IT development
Working experience in Java, Linux, Unix
Experience with Cloud technologies such as PCF, Kafka, Elastic
Availability to support existing applications outside of business hours remotely or onsite and carrying support pager
College diploma or Bachelor’s Degree
 

Nice-to-have

Knowledge of Python Scripting
Knowledge of IT support infrastructure and processes
