Senior Town Planner

Are you an experienced Town Planning professional looking to progress? Due to an increase in secured workload, we are seeking a Senior Town planner to join our Local Government planning division for our client, a consultancy based in the London, who are offering a career defining opportunity for an ambitious planning professional looking to build their reputation and portfolio of planning experience in a successful, rapidly growing consultancy.
This is a permanent role paying between £40,000 - 45,000 per annum (dependent on experience) + benefits
Based in North London / North West London the Senior Town Planning officer will be responsible for a caseload of complex and varied projects
Process complex planning applications
Assist in training and mentoring junior members of the team
Lead on pre-application discussions and provide advice, process planning applications
Identify and maximise opportunities to increase revenue
Represent the Council and Consultancy at public meetings, including but not limited to committee, hearings, inquiries and Court
In addition, the post-holder will be expected to undertake other reasonable duties, as required by the business.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate experience of the criteria listed below:
Degree in a Planning related discipline
Excellent technical knowledge of the Town Planning system
Demonstrable knowledge of provision of administrative processes relating to the processing of planning applications
Planning experience in a consultancy or local government environment
