What You'll Do
At Cisco Commerce our software engineers develop the next-generation CPQ (Configure Price and Quote) Software solutions that handles 49 Billion dollars of Cisco revenue. Our solutions handle massive amount of data with multiple flows and different user types (Direct, Resellers and Distributors). We're looking for engineers who bring fresh ideas. As a software engineer, you will focus on a specific project critical to Cisco’s migration from hardware to cloud recurring business model in our dynamic business.
We need our engineers to be versatile, display leadership qualities and be hardworking to tackle new problems across the full-stack as we continue to push technology forward.
You will get an opportunity to work on artificial intelligence, natural language processing, machine learning, distributed technologies (Elastic Search & Kafka), cloud native database (MongoDB & Casandra), Kubernetes, Open Stack etc. Cisco Commerce is at the forefront of transformation and playing a meaningful role in helping our stakeholders defining our next generation buying experience. As an expert engineer, you'll play a critical role in crafting and building a reliable and performant product.
This position requires a strong background Software (SW) design and implementation, preferably on ecommerce projects. As a member of the engineering team you be responsible for hands on software development and finding solution to complex business problems.

You will work with a diverse group of some of the brightest problem solvers and thinkers in the Configure Price and Quote Team that powers the platform which book 49 Billion dollars of Cisco’s revenue. Our engineers are the best in their area, using/implementing a wide variety of development technologies in their daily work.
Who You Are
Our Minimum Requirements for this Role are:
Bachelor in CS or equivalent and 5+ years’ experience in developing web applications.
Knowledge of Java, J2EE, and/or Web 2.0 technologies specific to UI such as JavaScript, Angular, AJAX. Full stack experience would be ideal.
Think out of the box and strong analytical skills, problem solving
Knowledge of Cloud Native technologies such as Kafka & MongoDB
Strong oral and written communication skills
Our Desired Skills are:
Knowledge of Java frameworks like Spring, Spring boot, Struts or Turbine
Experience in Open Stack, Kubernetes a plus
